Our mission

Our work is committed to creating change through movement, story and process. We tell stories driven by emotion, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Directing actors is what Amari loves most, and for many years she has coached them, teaching Meisner technique and working with actors in her own films. Sessions and workshops take place online or in person in London and LA.

We also work with writers, directors, dancers, choreographers and other creatives, bringing emotional depth, grounding and deep inner work to the craft, so the work you make is truthful and you feel well while making it.

Our vision

Amari’s early award-winning films NUMB and VALENTINO set the tone for a body of work across features, television, documentary, dance films and gallery installations, including TATE DANCERS, made for the opening of Tate Britain. In 2022 Sharpe Films delivered its first UK feature film, THE SURGEON, now streaming on Amazon, Apple TV, Tubi and more. A slate of features is in development, with the next in preparation, and more is on the way in story and sound.
